"Sound Waves" Producers
- Jay Allison
is a veteran independent broadcast journalist. Mr. Allison's work
airs often on NPR's "All Things Considered," ABC News's
"Nightline," and other national programs. As the recipient
of the 1996 Edward R. Murrow Award for outstanding contributions
to public radio, the industry's highest honor, Jay was the first
independent to have received the award in its 20-year history.
He has also created hundreds of documentaries, essays, specials,
series and art pieces for national and international broadcast
and has won virtually every major industry award, including two
Peabody's.
- Rachel Day is a full-time radio producer with Atlantic Public
Media. She comes to Woods Hole via Salt Lake City and Chicago
where she was working for the acclaimed public radio show "This
American Life."
* Kim Clum completed an internship with Cape and Islands Community
Public Radio (CICPR) and Atlantic Public Media in the Fall of
1998. She returned to her other life as a graduate student in
Social Work and Anthropology at the University of Michigan in
December 1998. Kim's responsibilities during her stay in Woods
Hole were, in part, to work on the Oral History Project at CICPR.
- Tracey
Crago is Communicator for the WHOI Sea Grant Program and has
served as the driving force for bringing "Sounds Waves"
to Woods Hole.
- Sheri
DeRosa is Program Assistant for the WHOI Sea Grant Program.
Sheri created and maintains the "Sounds Waves" web site.
- Fred
Pratt is a volunteer in the WHOI Sea Grant Program. Fred is
the technical expert behind "SoundWaves" and keeps the
program up and running without interruption!
