Credits: Producers

"Sound Waves" Producers

  • Jay Allison is a veteran independent broadcast journalist. Mr. Allison's work airs often on NPR's "All Things Considered," ABC News's "Nightline," and other national programs. As the recipient of the 1996 Edward R. Murrow Award for outstanding contributions to public radio, the industry's highest honor, Jay was the first independent to have received the award in its 20-year history. He has also created hundreds of documentaries, essays, specials, series and art pieces for national and international broadcast and has won virtually every major industry award, including two Peabody's.
  • Rachel Day is a full-time radio producer with Atlantic Public Media. She comes to Woods Hole via Salt Lake City and Chicago where she was working for the acclaimed public radio show "This American Life."
    * Kim Clum completed an internship with Cape and Islands Community Public Radio (CICPR) and Atlantic Public Media in the Fall of 1998. She returned to her other life as a graduate student in Social Work and Anthropology at the University of Michigan in December 1998. Kim's responsibilities during her stay in Woods Hole were, in part, to work on the Oral History Project at CICPR.
  • Tracey Crago is Communicator for the WHOI Sea Grant Program and has served as the driving force for bringing "Sounds Waves" to Woods Hole.
  • Sheri DeRosa is Program Assistant for the WHOI Sea Grant Program. Sheri created and maintains the "Sounds Waves" web site.
  • Fred Pratt is a volunteer in the WHOI Sea Grant Program. Fred is the technical expert behind "SoundWaves" and keeps the program up and running without interruption!
