A private nonprofit land trust accepting land donations and gifts to preserve open space land in the Town of Sandwich. Owns and maintains 86 acres of conservation land and holds conservation easements on an additional 129 acres. A member of The Compact of Cape Cod Conservation Trusts.

A nonprofit educational organization working to inspire reverence for wildlife and concern for the natural environment, primarily through school and public programs. Involved with some conservation and research projects. The Conservation Action Team (CAT Team) is a group of 7-12th graders working on conservation projects through the Green Briar Nature Center. Operates the Thornton W. Burgess Museum in Sandwich and the Green Briar Nature Center in East Sandwich. The Society also manages the 133 acre East Sandwich Game Farm under a lease agreement with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Division of Fisheries and Wildlife.

PUBLICATIONS: "Briar Patch Observer" (1/year, free to members)

FEES: Admission to museum by donation. Annual membership: $25 Individual, $35 Family. Conservation Action Team free.

SPECIAL PROGRAMS: Provides courses, programs, lectures, slide programs, tours, exhibits, and publications. Also workshops, outreach, a resource library, and internships. Children's natural history classes. Conservation Action Team for 7-12th graders.

A nonprofit organization located on 420 acres provides year-round experiences in environmental education and arts for K-12, college students, and adults. The site's natural areas include freshwater ponds, swamps, upland fields and forests. Programs can be developed to meet the specific needs of groups. A member of the Network for Environmental Science Education in Southeastern Massachusetts.
