Founded in 1976, the Provincetown Center for Coastal Studies (PCCS)
is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to research, protection,
and conservation of marine mammals in the southern Gulf of Maine
through applied research, environmental and educational programs.
PCCS promotes stewardship of coastal and marine ecosystems, is internationally
renowned for its whale research and disentanglement programs and
is a leading authority in science-based resource management policies
in Massachusetts.

SPECIAL PROGRAMS: Marine Mammal Disentanglement; Right Whale Aerial
Survey; Right Whale Habitat Studies; Humpback Whale Studies; Land

marine public policy through its Coastal Solutions Initiative Program.
