An array of Moored Profilers, deployed for 1.5 years, will measure the property and flow fields on the southeastern flank of Bermuda Rise (a primary pathway for the interior circulation). Six moorings (located by yellow stars in the figure to the right) will each support 2 moored profilers plus 3 VACMs and fixed points T/S sensors. These will directly measure water properties and velocities to quantify the interior transports through the array. Shipboard hydrography and sampling for tracers (CFCs, I129 and nutrients) will ascertain the watermass origin of these flows.
