I am a physical oceanographer focusing on the upper ocean and processes that stir and mix the ocean. My research includes processes with horizontal scales of order 10 m to 1000 km and timescales from seconds to years. I primarily use ship-based and autonomous observations in the global ocean, from the subtropics to the Arctic, to investigate these processes.
