ICP-MS

The new Finnigan "Element" magnetic sector, inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer (ICP-MS) was installed in April 1996 as part of the new ICP-Facility at WHOI. This facility is under supervision of Lary Ball, Roger Francois, Bernhard Peucker-Ehrenbrink, and Greg Ravizza. Besides the new ICP-MS, the facility houses an ICP optical emission spectrometer, a class 100 laminar flow box for clean sample preparation, a Milli-Q-UV water system, and a CEM microwave for sample digestion.
