Reporting on
Research: The Essentials of Preparing a
Paper for Publication
This
seminar will provide an overview of the tasks involved in preparing a paper for
publication.
Key
topics include:
• Effective titles
• Standard organizational strategies
• Graceful integration of equations,
tables and figures
• Textual hierarchy
• Appropriate style
Each
participant should bring with her/him a copy of an article that reports on
research in the participant’s field of interest and that has been published in
a prestigious journal. We will use these
papers as the basis of our analysis.
