Voyages - Coring Lago Titicaca

Now what?? Well after the really careful analysis of cores taken from the Neecho, and the preparation of an even more carefully worded proposal, the Lago Titicaca team has been funded by ICDP to undertake drilling operations on the the Lake in the spring of 2001. Using the newly constructed DOSECC Glad 800 in it’s first applied field operations, it’s hoped that continuous stratigraphy can be recovered to basement [up to 400m]. The Neecho will be engaged in setting up the drilling platform and supporting the operations.
