The long road to Titicaca began for the Neecho in Woods Hole on a cold day in February of 1997. The Neecho had been specially refitted for her planned work at 13,000 feet in the Andes. The trip did not get off to a good start. The truck towing Neecho suffered frozen fuel lines in Western Mass, and the Neecho had to be temporarily abandoned along the roadside.
