My research interests include but are not limited to vent and seamount ecology, evolution, population connectivity, ecosystem resilience, and conservation genetics. While working in the Shank Lab, I hope to better understand the dynamic relationships between discrete benthic populations and gain insight into the impact of human activities on those populations. My scientific interests are largely driven by the desire to better understand the interplay of science and policy in today's society. I am also interested in effective communication of science and public outreach. Publications Bors E.K. & S.
