After our Backroads trip, we
visited friends Estelle and Ken in the Massif Central, in a town called
Clermont-Ferrand. Their apartment looked out onto a medieval cathedral (left) and a volcanic crater (right)! |

Our
first day in Paris, we watched the Tour finish on the Champs-Elysees. Then we walked all over the city, exploring Notre Dame Cathedral, Montmartre, the Marais, the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower, Place Vendome, and the Madeleine. |

 |
Our
last day was spent in London. We walked from the London Eye to the Tower Bridge and Tower of London, and then all the way to Buckingham Palace and Big Ben. |
