Recent Field Work and Cruises:
MVCO (Martha’s Vineyard Coastal Observatory) with Jim Edson, John Trowbridge and Heidi Sosik (2004 – present) as a project manager, principal investigator, data manager and systems programmer
OASIS (Optics Acoustics and Stress In Situ) measuring turbulence at the seafloor using Sontek ADVs off the coast of New England at the MVCO with John Trowbridge (2005, 2007, 2011)
MudMURI measuring waves over mud near-shore using Nortek AWACs off the coast of Louisiana with John Trowbridge and Peter Traykovski (2007, 2008)
CBLAST (Coupled Boundary Layer Air-Sea Transfer) measuring turbulence at the surface using 6 ADVs at the MVCO cabled observatory Air-Sea Interaction Tower with John Trowbridge, Sandy Williams and Gene Terray (2003)
I attended twenty-five regional, national and international workshops and conferences over the past several years, many of which I sponsored or was sponsored to attend. Topics ranged from coastal or cabled observatories to best practices in data management and methods to enable interdisciplinary data sharing through the implementation of standards-based frameworks. These meeting included
