What's going on?

Dr. Mak Saito of the Marine Chemistry and Geochemistry Department at the Woods Hole Oceanograpnic Institution in Woods Hole, Massachusetts, has invited his "flattened" nieces (Mia and Kaiah) and Mrs. Stephanie Eagleton's and Mrs. Melissa Becerra's second grade classes from the Boulevard School in Shaker Heights, Ohio, on his latest Antarctic research adventure.
