Interviews with Four Scientists Who Are Visually ImpairedAFB AccessWorld is a publication of the American Foundation for the Blind, a national nonprofit that expands possibilities for people with vision loss. This article interviews four successful scientists with visual impairment, including Amy Bower. Other scientists interviewed include:
Peter Torpey -- a research scientist at Xerox, in Rochester, New York. Judy Summers-Gates -- a chemist for the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in Philadelphia. David Mehringer -- research scientist at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications at the University of Illinois.
