Research Interests

Development of in situ instrumentation for making geochemical measurements in the deep ocean (particularly at hydrothermal vent sites); primarily interested in optical techniques such as Raman spectroscopy.

Research Statement

I am currently involved in the Ocean Observatories Initiative Program, as a part of the Coastal/Global Scale Nodes (CGSN) Team. We are working to develop and deploy a number of moorings, gliders, and AUVs in open ocean and coastal regions.
