Research Interests
Analyses of the composition and function of microbial communities, with the goal to understand the relationships between microorganisms and their biogeochemical transformations. Special interests include the microbial ecology of hydrothermal vents, bacteria involved in sulfur cycling, and the environmental importance of CO2-fixation pathways other than the Calvin cycle.
