Research Interests

Sedimentary and tectonic evolution of plate margins, especially the marginal basins of South and East Asia; sedimentation resulting from uplift and unroofing in the Himalaya during the Paleogene; linking clastic provenance studies with thermochronologic methods in order to reconstruct orogenic erosion histories to test postulated links between climatic and tectonic evolution in South Asia; volcaniclastic sedimentation and geochemistry in volcanic arc complexes.
