This includes, but is not limited to, the location, construction and repair of septic systems, hazardous material storage and disposal, solid waste disposal, bathing water quality, private water supplies, private wells, and non- community public water supplies. The board regulates the use of pesticides/herbicides. The board undertakes a harbor study, funded annually by the town, and works with Kids against Pollution at the local elementary school. The board tests surface waters, tests area for septic system upgrades, pool fees, inspection fees.
