Job Summary
Reporting to the Compensation & Human Resources Analytics Manager, is responsible for the maintenance and reporting of Human Resources (HR) data through a single-source data entry process, ensuring the integrity of the system and timely transmission of data to Payroll and external vendors (e.g. medical, retirement, etc.). Working closely with HR, Information Systems, Finance, and external vendors, assists in ensuring that systems and processes adequately support a broad range of HR functions and objectives. Provides assistance in compiling and analyzing data to identify trends, benchmarks, and relevant statistics that support business decisions
Major Duties
- Responsible for the data integrity of the HRIS system and serves as the primary source for data entry and updates to the database and tables; handles and maintains confidential data, exercising good judgment and a high level of discretion
- Works with HR and Payroll staff, as well as external vendors to ensure timely and accurate transmission of data; troubleshoots issues that may arise
- Supports the Open Enrollment process by facilitating the smooth flow of information, maintenance of data, updating tables, and processing benefit utilities
- Develops workflow and process flow diagrams to help identify where opportunities for updated processes could benefit from automated solutions
- Assists on multiple HRIS projects, and recommends changes in methods or procedures to increase efficiency of the HRIS system
- Participates in the ongoing analysis of new releases of the HRIS software to include setup, testing and implementation where it affects the HR module and applications
- Researches technological HRIS solutions as they relate to projects associated with the HR initiatives
- Prepares detailed written reports of project and documentation for each project to serve both technical and general users
- Assists in developing accurate database reports, which meet the specifications and standards of the Bi-Tech CDD Report Writer program; creates custom reports as needed
- Responsible for updating and maintaining the HR Web site and participates in the development of HR intranet applications and on-line forms
- May serve as support and backup for other HR professionals as necessary
- Monitors, reconciles, and assists with fiscal administration of department budgets; assists with preparation and submission of annual operating budgets
- Responsible for the development of HR inter/intranet applications by developing programs and identifying solutions that will support the integration of HR business practices on the web
- Builds and maintains teamwork with members of HR, Payroll, and IT departments
- Performs other duties, as the supervisor may deem necessary
Desired Education/Experience for Hiring
College degree with 3 – 5 years related experience with HRIS applications, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Report writing ability, strong analytical skills, and knowledge of SQL required. Required to possess excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office programs; advanced spreadsheet and database skills. Experience in HTML and Web design. Must be extremely detail oriented and possess strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Experience working in a fast-paced human resources environment desired.
