Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Carpenter Shop Supervisor, performs a wide variety of painting and refinishing tasks.

Major Duties
  • Prepares surfaces and painting mixtures, mixes paints, paints and stains. Refinishes furniture.
  • Knows quality and specifications of painting materials and related supplies.
  • Has knowledge of new products for painting and sealing.
  • Works with hand tools, sanders (belt and disc), floor sanders, and other related painting equipment.
  • Performs such other duties as the supervisor may deem necessary.


Desired Education/Experience for Hiring
High school or vocational school plus 5 years experience in painting trade.
