Job Summary
Performs a multitude of carpentry tasks from start to finish, often coordinating jobs with other skilled labor (plumbers, electricians, HVAC).

Major Duties

Performs all duties of Carpenter with additional responsibilities involved with managing and supervising major projects (blueprint reading required).
Assists supervisor in determining work assignments and allocating resources. May lead or direct the activities of other Carpenters.
When required, may assume supervisor's duties.
Performs other duties as the supervisor may, from time to time, deem necessary.

Equipment
Including but not limited to:
Works with table saws, band saws, radial arm saws, panel saw, drill press, planer, joiner, sanders, electric hand tools, carpenter's hand tools, metal cutting saws, shears, benders, fork lift, crane car, personal lifts.

Desired Education/Experience for Hiring
High school or vocational school plus 2 years training school or apprenticeship in carpentry; 10 years experience including 5 years of finish carpentry experience. Must have strong interpersonal skills and ability to direct the work of others and provide training. Ability to read blueprints required. Valid driver's license and Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) required.
