Job Summary
Reporting to the Manager of Accounts Receivable and Government Regulations, performs Institution billing and electronic drawdown for government and non-government projects. Assists in performing account collections. Interacts with customers and departments and is a member of the Self Governance Team.

Major Duties

Accounts Receivable

  • Performs all non-government billing and collection activity;

  • Performs government invoice and public voucher billing;

  • Reconciles and maintains 1306 and 1307 accounts;

  • Manages all outside non-government accounts;

  • Performs government drawdown of funds for ONR, NSF, NOAA, NASA and NIH;

  • Performs day-to-day communication with customers including supplying additional information and/or answering questions;

  • Interacts with departments concerning completion dates, over budgets and final vouchers.

Government Regulations

  • Assists in preparation of rate submissions to the government (fixed rate and incurred cost rate);

  • Member of the Self Governance Team;

  • Assists the Manager of Government Regulations in performing special projects;

  • Interacts with departments concerning costs incurred after completion date of project.

  • Performs all other duties as the supervisor may, from time to time, deem necessary.


Job Specifications (Knowledge, skills and abilities normally required for competent performance in the job)
Associates degree in related field with 5-7 years of directly related experience preferred. Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with both internal and external contacts. Must be familiar with standard accounting principles and concepts. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail is critical. Works with minimal direction and relies on experience and judgment to accomplish goals.
