Job Summary
Reporting to the Associate Dean, in connection with the Institution's agreement with external partners, assists in the coordination and preparation of curriculum materials for K-12 education.

Major Duties

Acts as the principal interface and coordinator of the Institution's scientists and engineers for interactions with WHOI's external publishing industry partners for K-12 curriculum materials.

Assists in coordination and preparation of curriculum materials for K-12 education.

Performs such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary in development of K-12 curriculum materials.

Desired Education/Experience for Hiring
Ph.D. in a scientific discipline and experience with ocean research. Interest in and experience with children's science books. Interest in developing curriculum materials for K-12 education. Ability to work independently and within a team environment. Familiarity with contemporary oceanographic research and technology.
