Christopher Green is a Professor of Economics and the current Chair of
the Department of Economics at McGill University. He received his PhD
from the University of Wisconsin in 1966 and has been at McGill since
1969. Before turning his main research focus to the economics of climate
change (particularly renewable energy and energy efficiency aspects),
his main research and teaching field was Industrial Organization. Although
IO is still his main teaching field, he has been teaching a course on
the Economics of Climate Change since 1994. He also has been an active
member of McGill's Centre for Climate and Global Change Research since
its inception in 1990.
