Joel Darmstadter is a senior fellow with Resources for the Future, which
he joined in 1966. He specializes in energy and related economic-development
and environmental issues—topics on which his publication record
includes numerous books and articles. He has been a professorial lecturer
at the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies;
member of a number of National Research Council panels; consultant to
several Federal agencies; and on the editorial committee of Environment
magazine and the Annual Review of Energy and the Environment. He holds
economics degrees from George Washington University and the New School
for Social Research.
