Walking & Bicycling
Shining Sea Bike Path
Offering beautiful vistas along an old rail bed route,
the Bike Path passes sandy beaches, ocean harbors, salt
water marshes, kettle hole ponds and quiet woodlands en
route to Woods Hole. The 3.3- mile (5.25-km) Path is flat
and paved, making it a popular byway for walking, jogging
and rollerblading in addition to biking. A small parking
area is located across the street from the beginning of
the trail on Locust Street & Woods Hole Road.

Pedestrians crossing a street at any point other than
within a marked crosswalk at an intersection should yield
the right-of-way to all vehicles.
