Applications will be accepted from new or recent doctoral recipients with research interests associated with the following:

Research Departments
Applicants who wish to conduct research on topics of general interest to one or more of the departments are encouraged to apply. Five to six awards are anticipated. Information about the individual Departments and their research can be found by visiting the following department links.

Ocean Institutes
With the aim of fostering interdisciplinary research addressing critical issues, WHOI has established four institutes. A fellowship is available to support research associated with each of the Institutes. Information about the individual Institutes and their research themes can be linked to below:

The Cooperative Institute for the North Atlantic Region (CINAR)
CINAR awards a Fellowship in on of five theme areas: Ecosystem Forecasting, Ecosystem Monitoring, Ecosystem Management, Protection and Restoration of Resources, and Sustained Ocean Observations and Climate Research. Please see CINAR's website for further information.

National Ocean Sciences Accelerator Mass Spectrometry (NOSAMS) Facility
NOSAMS, funded by the National Science Foundation, will award a fellowship in the Development and implementation of new techniques in Radiocarbon Studies in Marine Science.
