R/V Knorr Shipboard Computing: Computers

There are three Windows computers available for science use; two in the Main Lab, and one in the Scientific Chart Room. Two of the machines offer dual boot capability with WinNT or Win2000 and Red Hat Linux.

There are also two Apple iMac computers available for science use which can be moved between laboatories as required.

Two Asante Micro EN/SC SCSI ethernet adapters are available to connect Macintosh PowerBook computers to the shipboard network. If network connectivity is a requirement, you are encouraged to bring your own network adapters.
