R/V Atlantis Shipboard Computing: Printing Resources

The Main Lab and the Computer Lab have networked laser printers available for general use. The Computer Lab also has an HP 1600C color PostScript printer and two plotters: an HP 755CM and and HP 750C+. These plotters can make up to size E drawings. If you plan to use the plotters, please bring media and ink cartridges (HP Part Number 51644). All printers are available for TCP/IP and EtherTalk connections. Parallel PC port printing is not available. If you expect to make extensive use of the laser printers, please bring a few reams of blank 8.5x11 inch laser/copier paper.

Client computers can send “lpr” style print jobs directly to the printer; they need only to know the printer’s name. The following list provides the information needed to configure the client computer:
