Full of fuel, we are now heading northwest toward the first of our mooring recoveries, but on the way will take a few more CTD/Rosette stations and drop a few Expendable CTDs (or XCTDs). Our first stop will be Station A, which is a location that has been monitored for many years by scientists from the IOS (Institute of Ocean Sciences, Canada).
In the meantime, all ship operations continue, the CTD group has time to service their equipment, the ice observers continue their observations, and the mooring and buoy groups continue to prepare for their upcoming operations. The pictures in this dispatch are intended to provide some examples of the numerous functions going on simultaneously on this (and every) day onboard the Louis.
