RIVERS: The Cascading Limb of the Geologic Cycle

2011 Geodynamics Seminar
Tuesdays, 1:30 - 2:30 p.m.
Carriage House, Quissett Campus

This year's topic is centered around the "hydrologic cycle", very broadly defined.  Such a theme could include the water balance (evaporation, rain,...) over the oceans and land, erosion, weathering and transport processes that export material from land to sea (and into the trenches that feed subduction zones), fluvial processes (geomorphology), material transport through estuaries into the coastal ocean, submarine groundwater systems (e.g., on volcanic islands), etc.
