International Polar Year Project: Genomic and Proteomics of Polar Marine Phytoplankton 2009

This project is focusing on collection of sea-ice and water column algae for analysis by genomic, transcriptomic, and proteomic techniques to contribute to a genomic foundation for future process studies. Two expeditions were conducted during 2009 on the sea-ice of McMurdo Sound through a collaboration between the Saito lab and Allen labs (JCVI). Funded by NSF-Office of Polar Programs.
