Ms. Michael's Emmy award winning weather programming for WBZ-TV has included flights into hurricanes and tordado chases. She has received numerous awards for her weather research and reporting and her outreach activities, including the prestigious Metcalf Fellowship for Marine and Environmental reporting in 2006, and a science journalism fellowship to study at WHOI in 2004. The reception and presentation are free of charge but the dinner requires tickets purchased in advance.
