The Prototype Implementation Group or P.I.G. Lab, founded by Don Peters in 1996, functions as a team of engineering consultants. Projects taken on by the group vary in scope from production of individual components to complete system design. The members of the group have completed formal training in Mechanical Desktop, the AutoCad-based parametric modeling and drafting. Modeling techniques are standardized, and part and assembly models can readily be shared. This, along with the standard drawing-numbering system used since 1994, results in a high degree of standardization in modeling as well as drafting.
