Northeast PSP New England Harmful Algal Bloom / Red Tide Information
RED TIDE SIMULATIONS - Maps show the results of computer simulations of Alexandrium fundyense cell concentrations that would be produced under five different weather and oceanographic scenarios representative of 2004 through 2008. The computer simulations incorporate weather conditions, river runoff, and various wind and current patterns to predict the intensity and location of blooms of the toxic alga in the Gulf of Maine.
