Research Statement
Marjorie has worked at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution since May, 2001. She is currently a Research Assitant III in the Applied Ocean Physics & Engineering Department (AOP&E). Her principal interests include supporting oceanographic research that involves underwater technological applications and technical documentation.

Fluent in PC applications (MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Adobe)
Experienced in research publications support:
  • topical publication searches
  • manuscript preparation (formatting text, figures, and references to a journal's specifications)
  • proofreading and editing document drafts and presentations
  • preparation of electronic files for uploading to a publisher's website
Updating webpage content for research scientists

Additional Information
Marjorie's earlier work included:
  • laboratory bench work, with techniques in histology, light and electron microscopy, tissue and cell culturing, cellular and molecular genetics
  • morphometry and image analysis
  • technical writing and scientific illustration
