The Global Rivers Project (from "The Point" with Mindy Todd; WCAI, Cape and Islands NPR)
Max Holmes, Senior Scientist at the Woods Hole Research Center, and Bernhard Peucker-Ehrenbrink, Senior Scientist at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, are jointly leading the Global Rivers Project. They have joined with collaborators around the world to investigate river chemistry and land-ocean linkages in six globally significant river systems: the Congo, Yangtze, Lena, Brahmaputra, Ganges, Kolyma, and Frazer. We discuss the project and some of the interesting and new findings coming out of this research.
