Global Subsurface Profiler Mooring

The Global Profiler Moorings support one or two wire-following profilers which make measurements thoughout the water column.

The Global Profiler Mooring is, at its core, a conventional subsurface mooring with a subsurface float at approximately 150 m depth. One or two uninterrupted shots of wire rope runs from the subsurface buoy to the sea floor (depending on the water depth). A wire-following profiler will operate along each section of the mooring.
