Undergraduate science majors from liberal arts colleges got a taste of the breadth of oceanographic research during midwinter break. In a pilot program organized by the WHOI Academic Programs Office, the undergraduates attended classes in oceanographic topics taught by MIT/WHOI Joint Program graduate students and worked on short research projects in scientists' labs.
