LEO-15
LEO-15 is a research facility off the southern New Jersey coast
with the ability to instantaneously deliver data from the ocean
depths to the internet via a fiber-optic cable buried under
the ocean floor and plugged into two nodes. This data includes
information on water temperature, salinity, visibility, wave
height, wave period, chlorophyll (phytoplankton) content, and
current speeds and directions. |

Field Research
Facility (FRF)
FRF is a research facility located on the Atlantic
Ocean in Duck, North Carolina. Instruments at the facility
record the changing waves, winds, tides, and currents.
