MVCO User Fees
The MVCO is run as a WHOI cost center with annual user fees. The
schedule for recovery and deployment is driven by user requirements,
which will interrupt services. It should be noted that the MVCO
schedules annual maintenance activities.

Costs for the deployment, maintenance, and recovery of the sensors
(e.g., jetting of pipes and burial of cable) should be added to
the individual budget. WHOI
user services may be contacted to offer guidance. For estimated
user fees from 2009-2010, click
here (pdf).
Each user will be provided with the appropriate IP addresses and
a password-protected web page that allows for control of each guest
port. It is important to note, however, that WHOI is not responsible
for collecting or managing the actual data that is collected by
each sensor. WHOI user services can provide you with common approaches
and solutions to logging the data, but the implementation of the
data acquisition system is up to each user.
