ITP74 was deployed on a 2.1 m thick ice floe in the Transpolar Drift on September 7, 2013 at 80 23.2 N, 126 23.7 E in collaboration with the Nansen and Amundsen Basins Observational System (NABOS) project from the Russian Research Vessel Federov. The ITP will operate on a typical sampling schedule of 2 one-way profiles between 7 and 774 m depth each day.
