ITP28 was deployed on September 1, 2008 on a 1.6 m thick ice floe in the Transpolar Drift at 81° 36.9 N, 179° 43.2 E from the Russian Research Vessel Federov. The ITP is operating on a typical sampling schedule of 2 one-way profiles between 7 and 760 m depth each day.
