Ice Tethered Profiler 24 Data Data from ITP24 deployed in October 2008 Last buoy status on 2010/11/5 105959 UTC : temperature = 15.18 °C, battery = 10.49 V Last position on 2010/10/29 90139 UTC : 64.1547° N, 21.9414° W Last profile (number 718) on 2009/9/25 624 UTC Last profile mean motor current = 142.3008 mA, mean battery = 10.4143 V Last profile depth: minimum = 118.7944, maximum = 719.955 m Last profile temperature: minimum = -1.456, maximum = 1.6396 °C Last profile salinity: minimum = 34.2868, maximum = 34.8982 The raw GPS buoy location data are available in an ASCII file: itp24rawlocs.dat Depth averaged profiler data files (with interpolated location) are available in two formats: ITP24 was deployed on October 3, 2008 on a 1.5 m icefloe in the Transpolar Drift at 81° 14.5 N, 121° 17.3 E from the German Research Vessel Polarstern as part of the European Union DAMOCLES Program. On the same icefloe, an University of Hamburg (ZMAW) PAWS meteorological station was also installed. The ITP is operating on a typical sampling schedule of 2 one-way profiles between 7 and 760 m depth each day.
