ITP15 was deployed on a 2.5-3.0 m thick icefloe on 11 September 2007 near 86° 39N, 177° 19 W in the Transpolar Drift from the German icebreaker "Polarstern" as part of the European Union DAMOCLES Program. The ITP is operating on a rapid sampling schedule of 3 one-way profiles between 7 and 760 m depth each day.
