Chris Land, WHOI Vice President for Legal Affairs (red tie) looks on as David Aubrey, CEO of EOM Offshore, LCC, signs an agreement in February 2018 that transfers controlling interest in the firm from WHOI to EOM. The company, based in Pocasset, MA, was founded in 2009 as a start-up with the help of the WHOI Technology Transfer Office to commercialize highly stretchable, fatigue-resistant hoses to transmit power and data to and from undersea sensors. The technology was developed by WHOI engineers.
