Photo Gallery: Indonesia: Tsunami Damage
These images were taken in April 2005, mostly in the town of Meulaboh on the western side of the Indonesian island of Sumatra. The region was close to the earthquake epicenter that triggered the
Dec 26th 2004 tsunami. Four months after the tsunami hit, the town was still in the early stages of recovery. The trip was made with Mercy Corps in an attempt to see what, if any, scientific input could be provided in the rebuilding of the region.
