Our contract cleaner, McGarr Services Corporation, empties recycling bins in the office and labs every Wednesday evening. This recyled material, which may include, white and colored paper, news papers, magazine and books. No styrofoam, food products, containers or binders is then placed in large blue recycling bins at strategic centralized locations throughout the Institution. On recycling night trash is not picked up. The services department picks up the large blue recycling bins weekly and empties them in the paper and cardboard compacter at shipping and receiving.
Cardboard boxes may also be recycled. Please mark them trash to let the cleaners know they are to be disposed of. All cardboard bowes are taken to shipping and receiving and put in the paper and cardboard compactor. Please do not place any boxes with contents you wish to keep on top of the trash barrel.
Bottles and cans can be recycled in specific bottle and can recycling bins located in each building. They are picked up and emptied as necessary by McGarr Service Corporation. These are collected and picked up by volunteers for the Falmouth Service Center and redeemed. Any non-negotiable plastic, cans or bottle are taken to the Falmouth Recycling Center by these volunteers.
