Electrical Shop staff design and install complex control systems for shipboard equipment and scientific instrumentation. They also install or assist with the installation of complex laboratory electronic equipment including mass spectrometers and scanning electron microscopes. Alarm systems to protect delicate or sensitive equipment and physical facilities are designed and installed by this group.

The electricians are also heavily involved with renovation and construction projects. The Electrical Shop is responsible for the day-to-day electrical plant operations. They will assist you with burnt out light bulbs, loss of power and other electrical related problems.

The main shop is located in the Iselin Building in the Village, room 128. There is also a satellite shop manned every day to serve the Quissett Campus. If you are located on the Quissett Campus, you will get faster service by contacting that shop directly.
