| Specialized tech support (Seabeam, coring, other): | |||||||||||
| Other required equipment and special needs: Before sailing it was noted that these moorings do not have acousitcal reseases. Method of recovery and deployement was discussed and a plan thought out. During the swap over of the 4401 (deep ocean) mooring, once buoy is on deck, moring techs will disconnect wire cable and add a surface sphere floatation buoy to hold and mark the location of the wire during matenance. Once new surface buoy is ready to be deployed, Oceanus will recover the small buoy and bring the 4000m+ wire end on board to connect to new NOAA buoy. Then deploy over starboard side of vessel. | |||||||||||
